Recommit

Updated: Sep 12

Recommit. Over and over.

When doubt strikes and you think about taking that low paying job instead of running your business because it’s hard, recommit. Say hell no to that exploitative company trying to use you and throw you away. Say no to time slavery. Say no to some idiot giving you an attitude every time your child is sick.

When you get the ick. Recommit to that beautiful partner sitting on the couch next to you! We all feel blah sometimes. Realize when you’re not feeling your best, what boundaries you need to set, or take a little space sometimes. But don’t lash out at them, or spiral into questioning the whole validity of the relationship you committed to. Look at them with fresh eyes in the morning, and recommit to your faithful companion.

To your children. One relationship that may truly actually last forever. You will always be their parent; they will always need you. Even when they are driving you crazy, this too shall pass. You are being shaped into a more loving and patient person through them. And they really are so cute when they’re sleeping. Recommit to being the parent they need, even when it’s hard. They are one of your purposes in life, and they are worth fighting for.
